Schedule may be changed.<\/p>\r\n\r\n<h1 id=\"Gaiyo\">Outline of qualifying Contest<\/h1>\r\n\r\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.rescue-robot-contest.org\/16th-contest\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2016\/06\/\u4e88\u9078\u7af6\u6280\u4f1a\u58342.jpg\" alt=\"\u4e88\u9078\u7af6\u6280\u4f1a\u5834\" width=\"674\" height=\"312\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-1002\" \/>\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>\r\nIn the contest venue, there is a one-sixth scaled experiment field simulating an urban area that has suffered an earthquake, where rescue dummies (called \u201cDamiyan\u201d) simulating victims are placed. Each team launches their robots from the robot base located at both sides of the field and has to rescue two Damiyans within the time limit (8 minutes).\r\n<\/p>\r\n\r\n<p>\r\nIn the qualifying contest, teams are allowed to sight the field directly, while in the final contest they have to control the robots remotely from the control room, relying only on the images from the on-board cameras.\r\n<\/p>\r\n\r\n<p>\r\nThe contest is evaluated based on the total score considering both the damage to the Damiyans and the level of achievement of Damiyan rescue.\r\nDamage is evaluated by sensors embedded in each Damiyan.\r\nThe level of achievement of Damiyan rescue will be evaluated in three levels: \u201ccompletion of rescue\u201d (rescuing the Damiyan from the debris), \u201ccompletion of transportation\u201d (carrying the Damiyan back to the robot base), and \u201cindividual identification\u201d (identification of the Damiyan).\r\n\r\n<\/p>\r\n\r\n<h1 id=\"Sensyutu\">Final Contest Selection Criteria<\/h1>\r\n<p>The teams for the final contest will be selected according to the following criteria.<\/p>\r\n<ul class=\"list-group\">\r\n\t<li class=\"list-group-item\">The 1 teams with the highest Confirmed Points of each contests (total 2 teams)<\/li>\r\n        <li class=\"list-group-item\">The 7 teams with the highest Confirmed Points of both contests<\/li>\r\n\t<li class=\"list-group-item\">The 4 teams with highly rated ideas, etc.,excepting the 9 teams with the highest Confirmed Points.<\/li>\r\n\t<li class=\"list-group-item\">1 organizer\u2019s recommendation team (selected at document review)<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n\r\n\r\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Qualifying Contest in Osaka 2017\/Jun\/25(Sun)13:30-16:30(Open 12:45) admission free Kitaosaka Advanced Vocational Training Center http:\/\/www.pref.osaka.lg.jp\/tc-kiosaka\/info\/access.html (2-11-40 Tsudayamate Hirakata Osaka) There is no parking lot for visitors.
